Galatasaray vice-president Abdurrahim Albayrak has spoken to Bein Sports Turkey about the future of Garry Rodrigues.

The player has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, with Everton reportedly one of those clubs in the mix to sign the Cape Verde international.

Asked by Bein Sports about Rodrigues Albayrak said, as covered by Sporx: “There’s no offer for him at the moment. We’ll play in the Champions League, we are never thinking of selling players.”

Earlier this month we covered reports from Turkey that Everton are still in the race to sign Rodrigues in this summer transfer window.

The Toffees recently sent scouts to watch the 27 year old and the Premier League club will have been impressed with his displays in those games.

The attacker has been instrumental in the closing stages of the season and was key to Galatasaray winning the Turkish Super Lig.

Everton should expect to face competition from Newcastle United and West Ham United.
