The vice president of Galatasaray Abdurrahman Albarrak has told the Turkish media that Manchester City have demanded €10m for Jason Delayer.
The Belgian has been linked with a move to the Istanbul throughout this summer transfer window, following his loan spell there last season.
Sporx have reported on comments Albayrak made to the Anadolu Agency when asked about Galatasaray’s plans in this window: “Jason Denayer wants a return to the club, but they want €10m.”
Earlier this month we covered claims from Turkey that Galatasaray had agreed personal terms with Denayer, but they still needed to convince Manchester City over a loan deal.
Due to FFP, Galatasaray can only afford to loan the Belgium international, but the Premier League champions want a permanent deal.
The player himself has told Manchester City the only move he wants is a return to Galatasaray, although this is now looking unlikely with the demands from the Premier League club.
Denayer is currently in the United States on Manchester City’s preseason tour, but it seems unlikely he’s in Pep Guardiola’s plans for next season.
