CSKA Moscow sporting director Roman Babaev has revealed the club would like to keep hold of Leicester City attacker Ahmed Musa, following his loan spell with the Russian club.
Musa is expected to leave Leicester City with Wolverhampton Wanderers and Turkish clubs linked with the Nigerian international.
Sporx have reported on comments made by Babaev when quizzed about Musa: “Everything with the transfer will depend on Leicester City. We would love him to stay. We will do everything to keep Ahmed Musa at the club.”
Musa has impressed since joining CSKA on loan in the last transfer window and there have been recent claims Wolves have made an offer for the player.
With Wolves’ promotion to the Premier League, Nuno Espirito Santo is looking to strengthen his squad and Musa is an option according to the Turkish claims.
However, after his struggles with Leicester City it’s reported he isn’t keen on a return to England and subsequently a move to either Turkey or Russia may be on the cards.
Galatasaray are said to be the Turkish club most likely to sign the Nigerian.
