Trabzonspor board member Ozer Bayraktar has insisted to the Turkish media there’s no problem over the right of redemption for Leeds United forward Caleb Ekuban, and this will be dealt with when the time is right.

The Ghanaian is currently in loan with the Turkish side from Leeds United.

Speaking to Herhaber, Bayraktar discussed the situation with Ekuban and his future with the Super Lig club: “We have the option to buy Ekuban, no problem, but when the time comes for it to be done.”

Earlier this week we covered reports from the Turkish press that Ekuban has been impressing at Trabzonspor’s winter training camp. This follows his recent form in the Super Lig in which he’s scored two goals in the last four games, providing one assist.

Whilst at his team’s training camping the Leeds United loanee has also told the Turkish media he wants to remain with the Trabzon club beyond this season.

There are reports his move can be made permanent for €1m this summer, although there’s a reasonable chance the Turkish side will try to get that down.
