The sporting director of Strømsgodset has told the Norwegian media he can’t comment on the future of Abdul-Basit Agouda.

The 18 year old has been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent days, and it seems likely he’ll leave his current club in the new year.

Sports Bibelen have reported on comments made by Jostein Flo when was asked about the future of the Leeds United target: “As usual, I can’t comment on a player’s situation. The fact is that he’s had proposals throughout the year. I can’t speculate before anything happens.”

Earlier this week we covered reports that Leeds United travelled to Finland on Wednesday to watch Agouda play for Norway’s U18s. The youngster scored in his side’s 4-0 victory over Finland.

It’s been claimed Agouda has turned down two contract proposals from his club, and it seems the Leeds United target will be leaving in the next window. The attacker himself has confirmed he won’t be remaining with the Norwegian club.

If his contract situation with Strømsgodset doesn’t change in the next few weeks, Leeds United will be able to sign the player as a free agent, just paying training compensation.
