It seems Brazilian winger Robert Kenedy is leaving Chelsea once again.

This time, the player is very close to joining Real Valladolid on loan, according to the latest reports from the Spanish media.

The hunt for the Chelsea player had already been reported by the local press in the past few hours, and as now claimed by AS, the La Liga side have a director in London working to close the transfer.

It’s said Kenedy was initially not that keen on playing in Spain, however, given the Blues’ stance on his future and Real Valladolid’s insistence on the signing, he’s now said to be changing his mind.

The La Liga side’s biggest problem for the signing had been the player’s salary. In the past few hours, they managed to make a ‘significant’ step forward on the percentage they and Chelsea will pay. According to AS, the club expect to close the loan deal today.

Since joining Chelsea in 2015, Kenedy has had loans at Watford, Newcastle, Getafe, Granada and Flamengo. During his last spell in Brazil, he was called back to London in January by Thomas Tuchel due to Ben Chilwell’s injury.

Still, he ended up being used only three times, and continues to be ignored by the club, who he has a contract with until 2024.
