Takvim say Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has held talks with Olivier Giroud’s agent Michael Manuello and he’s presented an offer to the Chelsea forward ahead of the summer window.
Giroud, who’ll become a free agent at the end of the season if the Blues don’t use their option for a further year, could leave Chelsea and Takvim claim Fenerbahce are interested in signing the 32 year old.
It’s reported the Istanbul club have offered Giroud a €4.5m year salary over two seasons and Takvim claim this is their best offer at this stage for the player.
Giroud’s agent Michael Manuello reportedly wants more time to think about the offer and Takvim say the French striker has some admirers from Spain and China.
The attacker has mainly been reduced to appearances in the Europa League this season, scoring 9 goals in 9 games in the competition.
However, the former Arsenal man has only played 698 minutes of Premier League football this season for Chelsea, scoring just one goal.
