Fanatik report Fenerbahce will look to sign Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu on a loan deal for next season.
The 22 year old joined Leicester City from Freiburg for €21m last summer but he’s failed to adapt in England so far, making just 6 Premier League appearances during the last campaign.
According to Fanatik, Fenerbahce are in the market for central defenders this summer and they’ve identified Soyuncu as a target ahead of the next transfer window.
With Fenerbahce’s current senior central defenders, Martin Skrtel and Roman Neustadter, likely to leave the club at the end of the Super Lig season the Turkish side are looking for replacements.
It’s claimed Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli will fly to England this week to open talks with Leicester City for the Turkish defender, as he’s hopeful he can land the player on a loan deal.
However, with Brendan Rodgers being installed as manager of the Premier League club the final decision is likely to be with him.
Soyuncu’s contract with Leicester City will expire in June 2023.
