Takvim report Fenerbahce are interested in signing Crystal Palace defender Jairo Riedewald in the January transfer window.

The Turkish newspaper report the Istanbul club’s sporting director Damien Comolli will fly to England to try and get a loan deal for the player as he believes Riedewald’s versatility could help Fenerbahce in the second half of the season.

Riedewald can be deployed at left back, centre back and defensive midfield, which have been problem areas for Fenerbahce this season.

According to Takvim, Comolli has spoken to current Fenerbahce manager Erwin Koeman about the Crystal Palace man and it’s understood he’s keen to work with his compatriot.

The Yellow Canaries have had a poor start to the season which saw Phillip Cocu sacked last month. Subsequently they want to bolster their squad in the new year and the Dutchman is an option.

Riedewald has yet to feature for Crystal Palace this season in the Premier League, and his only minutes for the Eagles have come in the EFL Cup.
