Sporting president Bruno de Carvalho has always loved being in the media spotlight. The official is never afraid of saying whatever he thinks, and after numerous controversies in Portugal, he’s finally getting some international attention.
The negotiations for William Carvalho with West Ham United reached a new level, and Bruno spoke to the Portuguese media sending attacks the way of the Premier League club’s management.
In one of the rants, he mentioned that West Ham’s owners David Sullivan and David Gold are called the ‘Dildo Brothers’ by the club’s own fans.
As the club’s supporters are not entirely happy with the management, some took inflatable dildos to the match against Huddersfield Town on Monday evening, which the Hammers won 2-0.
West Ham and Huddersfield isn’t normally a match that will make it to the Portuguese press, but O Jogo reports it this afternoon, adding a video to their story.
They claim the West Ham fans took Bruno de Carvalho’s quotes ‘with humour’, as the case is ‘running a lot of ink’ in England.
And the dildo didn’t only make it to the Portuguese press, as German outlet Bild also mentioned the toy in their headline of the game’s report.
Bruno may be furious, even jealous, that all the attention is going to the dildo, and not to him.
