Leicester City summer signing Viktor Johansson has spoken to the Swedish media about his move to the Premier League side and the differences he’s noticed from his former club Aston Villa.

The 20 year old goalkeeper signed for the Foxes on a free transfer in August on a two year contract.

Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, Johansson was asked to compare Leicester City with Aston Villa: “Yes, it differs a lot from Villa. Functional, the club is a little smaller, but it has a lovely family feel and you know who’s who after a couple of weeks, which is super.

“Then there is a different type of thinking to how they want to play, which fits my development very well at the moment.”

Johansson spent four years at Aston Villa after signing for the Championship club from Swedish side Hammarby. During his time at Villa Park the youngster played for the club’s U18 and U23 teams before he left the club in the summer.

The Swede is now expected to continue his development with Leicester City’s U23 side and he’s already made six appearances for the club at this level this season. Johansson also played in the EFL Trophy last month when Leicester City took on Fleetwood Town.
