Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has admitted he finds it hard to see the current club’s owners changing so much at Stamford Bridge.
It was a summer of big change at Chelsea following Roman Abramovich’s sale to Todd Boehly and his consortium.
The Americans quickly decided to overhaul most of the structure at the club since the sale was completed, with Boehly later admitting he wanted a more cohesive, connected outfit moving forwards.
That’s seen big changes from the manager downwards, with many longstanding employees at the club being replaced in the process.
It’s something that has not gone down well with those who know Chelsea well, with Michael Ballack recently criticising the decision to sack Thomas Tuchel and insisting things were not being done in the right way.
Drogba, very much a Blues icon after his spell at the club, has now added his voice to that list with his comments on the situation.
“I knew this club with a certain class during the Abramovich era, but today I find it lacking,” he told Canal +, relayed by BeIN Sports.
“It’s very hard for me to see how they got rid of certain people, for example the physiotherapists, who were there for a very long time.
“They should go back to the principles and values they had.”
