It’s been 38 days since the first serious reports broke in the Turkish media about Sofiane Feghouli’s potential move from West Ham to Galatasaray.

The Algeria international has now finally arrived in Istanbul after weeks of discussions, and Galatasaray have informed the Turkish stock market about signing the West Ham player.

Thousands of Galatasaray fans waited for Feghouli at Istanbul airport, welcoming the player to the Turkey. Milliyet say Feghouli could hardly leave the airport due to the number of fans that turned up to greet the winger.

HaberTurk have reported on the financial details of Feghouli’s transfer. They’ve confirmed Galatasaray will pay €4.5m to West Ham for the player and the Algerian will earn €3.8m a season over a three year deal.

The Turkish giants also have an option to extend Feghouli’s stay for another season after the initial contract expires.
