FC Copenhagen are set to complete a move for Nottingham Forest defender Scott McKenna, with only the final details missing on the deal.
That’s according to BT in Denmark, who back up reports from England that the centre-back will be on his way to Copenhagen.
They report that the Danish side are set to secure a loan deal for McKenna, who they see as having the same characteristics as David Khocholava, on a loan deal until the end of the season with ‘only details’ missing from that being finalised.
The deal will run until the end of this season, despite McKenna’s contract with Nottingham Forest expiring at that point, and it remains to be seen what will happen after that point.
Copenhagen have been forced into the market after injuries to Khocholava and Nicolai Boilesen left them short, and the deal for McKenna is seen as a hugely positive one.
They believe they are getting a player ‘from the top shelf’ given he’s arriving from a Premier League side and describe the Nottingham Forest defender as a ‘Scottish bulldozer’ to boot.
The belief is that he is open to the move as he’s barely featured for Nottingham Forest this season and is keen to get regular playing time ahead of Scotland’s participation at Euro 2024 in Germany this summer.
