Galatasaray have offered Crystal Palace left-back Patrick van Aanholt a three-year deal to move to the club in the summer.
That’s according to Sabah, who say the deal is worth €1.75m a year, which would see him have to drop his wages to move from Selhurst Park.
Van Aanholt is out of contract with the Eagles in the summer, and, so far, there has been little to no signs that he will be extending his stay with the club.
Reports in England have linked him with a move to Turkey, with it claimed Galatasaray had already offered him a three-year deal that would see him earn significantly more than his current £55,000 a week wages.
Sabah pick up on that today and back up the reports of a three-year deal but say the figures are different to what is being reported in England.
According to them, Galatasaray have offered the Crystal Palace man a deal worth €1.75m a year.
That would see him picking up around £118,009 a month, which works out at around £29,500 a week, so nowhere near an upgrade on his current wage packet.
There’s no mention of whether Van Aanholt is interested in the move, or even how he’s responded to the offer, although it seems unlikely he’d be keen if they’re offering such a drastic reduction in his wages.
That, though, is one offer he currently has on the table should he leave Crystal Palace this summer.
