‘Destination Premier League’ say Marca, as they talk up a transfer to England for Borja Iglesias.

During the January window, and since, there have been links with Everton, and now it’s thought the player is quite possibly getting ready for a move to the country.

In the winter market, the same Spanish newspaper reported that Everton had made moves to pay the player’s €28m release clause. According to the claims, all the Toffees needed was for the player to give his approval, but he didn’t fancy a switch in January.

Then in March, further Everton claims came from Spain.

El Desmarque reported the Merseyside club ‘would multiple his salary by four’, and that there was also interest from Valencia.

Now, a departure from Espanyol is considered so possible that Barcelona’s second club are looking for a summer replacement, having already identified Huesca’s Enric Gallego.

Iglesias has 16 goals and 3 assists so far this season.

Everton may now feel they can do better than the 26 year old, but they’ve been the most linked side and Marca haven’t brought anyone into the chase yet.
