Voetbal international have confirmed Udinese signed Anderlecht defender Bram Nuytinck for just €3m.

The Dutchman was linked with a move to Leeds United this week after Anderlecht’s Herman Van Holsbeeck revealed he’d received an offer from the Championship side.

Earlier this week we covered comments Van Holsbeeck made in a press conference when he said Leeds United and Udinese were the two clubs to table bids for Nuytinck. The Serie A side won the race to sign the 27 year old, and at the time there were suggestions they paid just €3m for the player.

This transfer fee has now been confirmed by Voetbal International, which raises the question of Leeds United offered for Nuytinck. Udinese seem to have got a bargain for a player of his experience, and Leeds United may regret this in the long run.

The West Yorkshire side have been linked with central defenders this summer, and with the exit of Giuseppe Bellusci they may need to address this before the window closes.

Anderlecht gave the impression Udinese won out purely because they submitted the better offer.
