According to Scouts Attending, Leeds United last month sent an official to Spain, with the suggestion it was to get a lowdown on Huesca midfielder Álex Gallar.

It’s been reported Leeds United were in attendance for the game between Real Valladolid and Huesca in February. Real Valladolid ran out 3-2 winners.

Leeds United travelling to Spain came just a week after reports the Championship side are interested in Gallar, with suggestions he could arrive in England this summer.

The English side were said to be impressed with the player’s attributes, and they believe he would be able to adapt to English football.

Since the arrival of Victor Ora at Elland Road the Championship side have been looking to Spain to recruit, and they’e also set up close ties with Cultural Leonesa.

However, we contacted Gallar’s agent about the links with Leeds United at the time, and he dismissed there being anything in it at that stage.
