Paul Pogba produced a top performance against Swansea City at the weekend, and scored a stunning goal in the 3-1 win against the Welsh side.

A lot has been said about Jose Mourinho’s struggle to get the best out of Pogba, and the Manchester United manager has been trying the Frenchman in different positions.

Against Swansea, Pogba played in a midfield role but was pushing on often beyond the more attacking players, given a freedom to do so, and probably came up with the best performance so far this season.

With many discussing if that could be Pogba’s best use, France national team boss Didier Deschamps has also been speaking about it to the French media (via L’Equipe).

Deschamps insists Pogba can play in different positions, and that he could use him in a different way“He has played in several positions with Manchester United and with us. It also depends on the system. Currently, the Manchester United system is different from ours.

“Paul can play in many positions. If Mourinho plays Pogba in support of the central striker, it is because he believes is the best solution for him.”

Deschamps might as well decide to play Pogba in a different position, but it’s important for Jose Mourinho and Manchester United to quickly find the best solution for Pogba with a very crucial period coming up for the Premier League giants.

Also for the national team, Pogba has been under pressure for some time to excel, and will want to build on the last international break and his goal against the Netherlands.
