Takvim claim Fenerbahce have rejected an offer from Derby County for their young attacking midfielder Ferdi Kadioglu.
Previous reports from the Turkish press said Derby manager Phillip Cocu is keen to work with the Dutch U21 international, whom the coach briefly worked with when in charge of Fenerbahce last season.
However, despite the strong interest from the Championship side, Takvim claim Fenerbahce will not accept Derby County’s bid of €5m as they want more for the 20 year old.
It’s not clear at this stage whether the Rams will return with an increased offer for the former NEC Nijmegen player, but Cocu will want to strengthen his squad in this transfer window.
Yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that Fenerbahce value Kadioglu in the region of €12m, however, as it stands the English side are only willing to meet them halfway.
The youngster has impressed when given a chance this season and subsequently it seems Fener will not sell him on the cheap.
Kadioglu’s contract at the Super Lig club will expire at the end of June 2022.
