Sunday’s edition of L’Equipe takes a look at players who could leave Lille during the summer transfer window.
The biggest sale for the Ligue 1 club is going to be Nicolas Pepe. The French newspaper explain Lille want €70m to see the back of the attacker in the summer window, and it’s thought that interest is widespread.
Then it’s on to Thiago Mendes, and Everton interest is pointed out.
The Toffees pinpointed the Brazilian midfielder as a potential replacement for Idrissa Gueye, when it looked like the Everton player may leave during the January transfer market.
PSG were keen on Gueye, and they’re the other club named by L’Equipe when it comes to Mendes.
A transfer in the next market is thought to be pretty much guaranteed, with it being stated ‘departure assured’.
Lille will be looking for a fee of €25m, although clubs may try to get the player for a little less than that.
It’s certainly an amount Everton can reach.
