Former Leeds United forward Mirco Antenucci has told the Italian media he’s no regrets about moving to England. The 32-year-old was today officially announced as a SPAL player after two seasons at Elland Road.
TMW have reported on comments Antenucci made in his press conference today when he was asked about his experiences at Leeds United.
The forward said heading to England was something he always wanted to do, and believes he went there at the right stage in his career.
However, Antenucci revealed he’s happy to return to Italy, and now hopes he can help SPAL push on from their success last season.
“It was something I’ve always wanted to do, I got there at the right time. but now I feel like home, with the desire to take off after winning last season’s Lega Pro championship,” said the ex-Leeds United star.
Antenucci today signed a two-year deal with SPAL, with the option of a third season. The player spent two seasons at Leeds United, but was released by the Championship side last month.
