The world’s sport media is today full of Jose Mourinho’s appointment at Tottenham.

Sacking Mauricio Pochettino was a big enough story to catch widespread attention, but then replacing him with the former Manchester United manager has pushed things up several levels.

Inevitably, the Danish media are looking at what it means for Christian Eriksen.

With a contract expiring in June an exit has been thought likely, especially given the footballer talked about a move in the summer.

Ekstra Bladet get straight to the point and say Mourinho going to Tottenham is ‘terrible’ for Eriksen, and they’ve done some research to explain why.

On multiple occasions, the manager has made it clear he doesn’t like to rely on players who want to leave a club.

In Denmark it’s been felt that Eriksen’s refusal to sign a renewal is behind him being edged aside as a major player, and the whole thing has been presented as a reason for his relatively poor form.

Now he could be in ‘even more disarray’.
