Patrice Evra’s future is still being covered constantly in the Italian media, but comments from the player’s agent may have worried Juventus.
After repeated claims that Evra is currently mulling over a chance to join Crystal Palace, Federico Pastorello confirmed the defender’s love for the Premier League, and said his client wanted ‘a week to 10 days’ to decide what he’s going to do.
Whilst Sam Allardyce may be prepared to wait and give Evra the time he wants, Turin newspaper Tuttosport believe it ‘could pose a problem’ for Juventus.
They have their own transfer plans at fullback, and the transfer window ends in less than 2 weeks. If Evra takes all of his ten days then his decision won’t be known until January 26th.
Allardyce has made it clear he’s looking for Crystal Palace additions, and that he needs to find players who are both available, and who want to join the club. Evra’s experience could well benefit Palace in a fight against relegation, but the club can’t hold on too long and then have just a few days to go for other targets.
