Following recent rumours linking Manchester United to Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani, Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg now brings an update on that story.
The reporter claims he hasn’t been able to confirm the recent gossip which said the Red Devils are preparing a €120m bid for the Frenchman, even though the player is ‘definitely on the list’ the club have for the summer window.
Plettenberg claims Manchester United actually have another striker who’s the ‘main priority’ in the transfer market, and that’s Napoli star Victor Osimnhen.
Manchester United’s chase for the Nigerian isn’t something new, as the Italian media has been making big noise about this rumour, claiming his club are set to demand about €150m for his transfer.
Osimhen has 19 goals in Serie A this season. That makes him the league’s top scorer, and one of the main reasons Napoli are on top of the table.
Muani, meanwhile, has impressive statistics as well. He has 16 goals and 14 assists for Frankfurt this season, and that’s only his first year playing for the Bundesliga side, following a free move from Nantes last summer.
❗️News #KoloMuani: Can’t confirm that #MUFC is preparing an €120m offer for Muani. Been told that he’s definitely on the list as a possible transfer target for summer. But internally #Osimhen is rated higher than Muani. Osimhen is one of the clubs main priority! @SkySportDE 🇫🇷 pic.twitter.com/cktnDXjBMt
