John Kitolano to Wolves looks like it’s happening during this window rather than waiting until the defender’s contract expires in December.

The Premier League club have been following the 18 year old Odd player for some time, likely through the scouting being carried out by Gary Goodchild in Scandinavia.

Odd had expected Kitolano to sign a new contract and he’d made repeated comments suggesting that would be the case. Even last week the youngster openly committed his future to the Norwegian side and made it clear a renewal was on the way.

Then everything changed, likely due to a firm approach from Wolves.

It was made clear to Odd that there’d be no renewal so they faced the prospect of seeing the player leave now for a free or in December for training compensation.

Odd have been open and told the Norwegian media they’d prefer a move now, and it appears that’s what they’re getting.

Varden newspaper, who have been following the case closely, state Kitolano is ‘on his way to England’ to have a Wolves medical and complete the deal.

They pick up claims from Norwegian TV to say the transfer is estimated to be worth around £900k including bonuses.
