Celtic have been given a boost in their pursuit of Fenerbahce left back Hasan Ali Kaldirim following reports in the Turkish media they would consider selling him to the SPL club. Celtic have been linked with the defender in recent weeks with claims they are in talks to sign the player.
Goal Bien have revealed Hasan Ali has held talks with Fenerbahce boss Dick Advocaat over his future with the Turkish giants following the recent interest from Celtic. Hasan Ali has told the former Ranger boss he wants to remain with the club after finally establishing himself as the first choice left back.
However, Advocaat has told the Turkey international if a serious bid comes in from Celtic then this will be considered, given the player has just six months left on his contract.
Earlier in the window we covered reports from Turkey claiming Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is keen on Ali Hasan and wants to bring in the defender to provide competition to Mikael Lustig and Emilio Izaguirre.
Celtic have begun preliminary discussions with Hasan Ali’s agent, as claimed last week in the Turkish press. It’s been reported in the Turkish media that Celtic will offer £1.6m a year to Hasan Ali and the Scottish club are also prepared to give him a £1m signing on-fee.
