Bruno Martins Indi is really leaving Porto. After being left-out of the pre-season presentation and the Champions League list, the defender now missed yesterday’s training session, so his departure is given as certain in Portugal.

Porto are said to be seeking the best solution for the situation, according to the newspapers Record and O Jogo. Both the newspapers claim interest from Everton, in a mix of reports from England and Portugal, and Ronald Koeman’s name is strongly linked to the player.

Everton are said to have the competition of Ukranian and Turkish clubs. But despite being mentioned first as if their interest was stronger, there are no news about the Toffees having made an approach so far.

The rumours between Martins Indi and Everton have been happening for a while. But now that the Toffees have sold John Stones to Manchester City and Martins Indi is completely available, the rumour has obviously been given some more weight.

The question is, is it obvious for the press or for Everton? The newspapers will certainly go for this story this week, let’s see if Ronald Koeman will be convinced to jump on it too.

According to what we’ve been covering this week, Porto will want at least €7.7m for the 24-year-old.
