Italian outlet Fanta Calcio today features a piece on the situation of Torino defender Gleison Bremer, who seems to be struggling to find an agreement for a new contract with the Serie A side.
The website claims there are a few clubs who are interested in signing him, and those sides would be more attracted in case he indeed doesn’t renew his deal.
One of those candidates are said to be Liverpool, since Jurgen Klopp has the player ‘in the sights for a long time’.
The Reds’ interest in Bremer dates back to 2018, when he played at Anfield and put in a highly praised performance for stopping Sadio Mané in most plays.
But Liverpool wouldn’t be alone in that race, since the likes of Juventus and other Premier League sides are said to be attentive to the defender’s situation as well.
However, since Torino could soon lose their star Andrea Belotti at the end of his contract, it’s unlikely they’d risk the same with Bremer.
The Brazilian’s deal expires in 2023, so next summer could become some sort of deadline to sell him.
The 24-year-old is currently valued by Transfermarkt at €10m, although we know that competition would make him more expensive than that and Fanta Calcio says his price ‘could fluctuate’ between €20m and €25m.
