Manchester City owned Jason Denayer hasn’t had the the happiest of returns to Galatasaray after joining the Turkish side on loan in the last window.

After recent poor performances, the Manchester City loanee has received criticism from the Turkish media, and they haven’t been impressed with the Belgian international’s contribution this season

The 23 year old rejected several approaches last summer in order to rejoin, putting pressure on Manchester City, but his move back to Istanbul hasn’t gone to plan.

Aksam report Galatasaray are considering sending him back to Manchester City after just four months with the club.

They say the Galatasaray board think his performances are a factor for their Turkish side’s recent poor form, and subsequently  are looking to offload him.

However, Denayer doesn’t seem to be in the long term plans of Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, and it’s unlikely he would get playing time if he retuned to the Etihad in the new year.

A return to the Premier League club would likely result in a loan elsewhere. Short of protecting the value of their asset, Manchester City may be unwilling to jump through more hoops for Denayer.
