Argentine newspaper Ole has a feature today on Marcos Rojo’s future and they don’t believe he’ll be continuing at Old Trafford beyond the summer transfer window.
Wolves are one of a number of clubs who have been linked with the defender recently, but Ole don’t think there’s much chance of him joining Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
That’s because the 28 year old is aiming higher.
Whilst Rojo is aware his days are probably numbered at the Red Devils and is getting ready to pack his bags and leave, he doesn’t want to drop too much.
In a phrase which will likely be annoying for Wolves fans, Ole explain there’s been an approach from the club but Rojo wasn’t ‘interested in that fate because it was a minor club’.
It may not be the worst stroke of luck for the newly promoted Premier League team, because the move sounds very costly.
Ole reckon Everton are offering €33m, a figure which is acceptable, and they claim Rojo also wants the Toffees to give him a pay rise on what he currently earns.
