Stefan Mitrovic is keen on a move to the Premier League, and would be content with a club like Hull City or Burnley. The 26 year old has played in Portugal, Spain, and Germany, and is currently with Gent in Belgium.
Mitrovic captained Gent when they drew with Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley in the Europa League, a result which knocked Mauricio Pochettino’s side out of the competition.
That further underlined Mitrovic’s love of the English game, and speaking to Belgian newspaper HLN, the defender has talked up a possible switch to the Premier League. He’s not being unrealistic and would happily play for one of the division’s smaller clubs.
HLN quote him as saying: “It could even be Hull City or Burnley. And this summer I may already be in England, where football is at the top of the pyramid – the style, the mentality, the way of life: It’s really something for me.”
Mitrovic has a contract with Gent until June 2020, but should Hull City or Burnley wish to take him up on his offer the transfer fee wouldn’t be too colossal.
