Earlier today, we brought you the latest updates on Celtic’s chase of Sacha Boey, or at least what was left of it.

It came from Le Parisien, and now L’Equipe have their own information, and it’s now made clear that the right-back has flat out ‘refused’ a move to Parkhead.

The French outlet explain the 20-year-old had received ‘a contractual offer’ from Celtic, but he turned it down ‘due to the presence of foreign intermediaries’ taking part in the process.

It appears Boey doesn’t want anyone else trying to wriggle their way into his transfer decision process, which is much to his credit, as there are often unpleasant stories when too many parties get involved.

Either way, it seems Celtic will now have to directly approach him and forego any other person other than themselves, Boey’s agent and Rennes if they want to get this deal over the line with a new offer.
