Brighton & Hove Albion and Southampton have Juventus youngster Koni De Winter on their radar, according to Het Belang van Limburg.
The 17-year-old moved to Italy from Zulte Waregem in 2018 and after initially being a part of the Turin club’s U17 side, was promoted to Juventus U19 a year later.
He also made it to the bench for the senior team’s Champions League clash in October 2020, and Graham Potter’s side and the Saints have the centre-back on their agenda, alongside Club Brugge.
The Jupiler Pro League side face the possibility of losing Odilon Kossounou this window, which is why they are looking at the Belgian, having followed the defender even before he joined the Old Lady.
Describing De Winter’s playing style, HBVL state the youngster’s ‘technically skilled’ and can also operate as a midfielder.
His contract is until 2024 and if he wants to develop, the newspaper advises the teenager to join a club where he can have regular minutes.
Since it’s doesn’t seem possible at Juventus, a ‘transfer is negotiable’ and the Serie A giants ‘asking around €5m’ to let De Winter leave.
Club Brugge signing De Winter depends on Kossounou’s exit, but that won’t be the case for Brighton and Southampton, if either of them want to sign the Juve youngster.
