The Portuguese media today highlights this is a ‘decisive day for Vitinha’.

Following a loan from Porto at the start of the season, the player can be bought by Wolverhampton Wanderers until midnight because all the Molineux side have to do is trigger the clause of €20m.

Just like we covered yesterday, there’ve been mixed reports regarding Wolves’ stance on this situation, and we continue to see contradicting claims about it today.

After reporting that Wolves will not buy the midfielder, newspaper Record is now back with the reaction from Porto fans to the news, showing that the vast majority would love having Vitinha at the club next season.

However, there are still reports saying Wolves are buying the player. Or that’s at least what some people from Porto are expecting.

The story from A Bola claims the Dragons ‘believe’ the clause will be triggered before midnight and ‘have no indications of the contrary’.

Still, the newspaper highlights how strange the silence from the Molineux side is, who haven’t said a word until this last day of the contract.

It’s stated how much of a ‘blow’ it would be for Porto should Wolves give up on the deal, since the Dragons would need to make other sales to be fine with the Financial Fair Play.

Still, they’d be happy to have Vitinha back in the squad, as manager Sérgio Conceição never wanted him gone in first place.
