Rumoured to be a target for the principality club, it seems Monaco are still working on bringing in Giannelli Imbula back to Ligue 1 this summer.
According to France Football journalist Nabil Djellit, a deal for the Stoke midfielder is still ‘in the pipeline’ for last year’s French champions, alongside free agent Rachid Ghezzal.

Imbula, who was, for quite some time, linked with a move to Torino, saw the interest from the Serie A club disappear as Stoke were holding out for €20m, a fee the Italian side were unable to match.
For Monaco, however, the Potters’ demands shouldn’t be too much of a hurdle considering the amount of money they have raked in this transfer window by selling three players for over €40m.
There is no indication as to when this deal could be completed nor how much for, but with Stoke seemingly willing to sell, if the principality club are serious, this could be resolved fairly soon.
We’ll have to wait and see.
