Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister will sign for Liverpool at the end of the season, with a deal already in place for the World Cup winner.

That’s according to TyC Sports, who say the midfielder ‘will leave Brighton for a fortune’ and move to Anfield in the summer transfer window.

They state that Mac Allister’s ‘sensational season’, which has included a World Cup title in Qatar and helping Brighton shine in the top six of the Premier League ‘will take him to a global giant’.

Although a deal is not yet official, the ‘deal is complete’ and he will play for Liverpool next season, despite the fact they are unlikely to be in the Champions League.

The Reds intention is to sign Mac Allister from Brighton to a ‘multi-year deal’ worth around €70m, with them determined to beat Chelsea to his signature.

There’s no mention of what the Argentine will earn at Anfield, just that everything seems to be in place for him to make the move at the end of the season.

Whether Liverpool will be paying €70m up front or in instalments also remains to be seen, but it seems the Reds have already identified and secured the new midfielder that Klopp desperately wants for his summer rebuild.
