Brighton and Hove Albion are one of several sides keeping an eye on Empoli goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario and he wouldn’t turn down the offer.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who cover the player today following reports of Brighton’s interest in him.
We covered two reports on Brighton being keen on the goalkeeper on Monday, with the latter explaining that Roberto De Zerbi is targeting the 26-year-old goalkeeper.
He’s currently searching the market for potential recruits in January and Vicario is one of the names on his list.
Gazzetta follow that up today stating that Empoli’s number one is ‘tempting to many’ and he is being followed by clubs in and outside of Italy.
He is expected to move on in January thanks to that ‘considerable’ interest and the fact he is worth around €15m, although that could increase if he continues to impress.
Brighton are likely to be one of the foreign clubs in the mix and he would not ‘rule out an adventure abroad’ so long as he can be guaranteed the continued upward trend he has been enjoying.
Whether Brighton can offer that fee remains to be seen but they appear to be in the picture and he won’t be ruling out a move abroad if the Seagulls come knocking.
