Tottenham Hotspur helped bring a little life to the end of the January transfer window on Tuesday, with claims coming from Portugal of a move for Luis Diaz.

The FC Porto attacker has been attracting admirers for months, with Premier League clubs showing up to see him in action for the Portuguese side.

He also impressed for Colombia at the Copa America, and whilst transfer interest isn’t a suprise, it was widely thought that this was a move which would wait for the next summer window.

Record report that the prospect of a move to Tottenham isn’t ‘tempting enough’ for the player to ‘lose his head’ with Porto, so he’s not going to agitate for a move.

The newspaper go over the €45m, plus bonuses, offer from Spurs, and explain Daniel Levy ‘does not intend to go beyond’ those figures, meaning a transfer is very unlikely to happen.

Had Tottenham reached €60m then things would be different for Porto, however, the player still wouldn’t jump at the opportunity, according to Record.

Luis Diaz is confident something better will arrive in the summer, and Tottenham’s attempts haven’t changed that viewpoint.
