Over at Le10 Sport, there’s real belief that Tottenham are seriously attempting to sign Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain, even if their offers so far haven’t met the Ligue 1 leaders’ demands.

Late on Wednesday, the French website came out with an exclusive stating that, following their first attempts a couple of weeks ago of getting a loan with a view to buy deal done, Spurs reopened talks earlier this week.

Tottenham are said to have ‘very seriously returned’ in what is dubbed ‘Operation Lucas’.

Daniel Levy is said to have personally contacted the Paris Saint-Germain board about the Brazilian, with whispers the London club could be prepared to bring in the Brazilian on a permanent transfer.

Needing the money for FFP reasons, the French club would ideally like to see a cheque of around €25-30m on their table before agreeing to anything.

That is, of course, well within Tottenham’s budget, with talks said to be ongoing.

On top of that, with Manchester United having signed Alexis Sanchez, they have one fewer problem to contend with.
