Brazilian midfielder Lucas Leiva is expected to leave Liverpool this summer after the arrivals of Marko Grujic and Georginio Wijnaldum at the club.
The Merseyside club don’t play in any European competition this season, and Lucas is expected to find it very difficult to get much playing time.
Reports in Turkey suggest Galatasaray have an agreement to sign Lucas, and are waiting for a final signal from Liverpool.
It has been reported Galatasaray have set a deadline of today for Liverpool to make a decision.
Turkish website Sabah reiterate those reports on Monday. Sabah say Liverpool should make a decision today on Lucas’ €2m pending transfer to Galatasaray.
Jurgen Klopp reportedly wants to keep Lucas as cover, despite the Brazilian midfielder himself nursing a hamstring injury at the moment.
Lucas has spent 9 seasons at Anfield, and has another year left on his contract.
