Crystal Palace continue with their transfer planning ahead of future windows and it would appear they’ve landed on something at FC Porto.
Having already watched the Portuguese club on repeated occasions this season, Palace had someone in attendance for their game against Tondela at the weekend.
Then, just a few days later, the Premier League club sent also someone to Porto’s Champions League match against Galatasaray, report A Bola. Porto won the tie 1-0 and the Crystal Palace representative was joined by others from England, Italy, Germany and France.
Manchester United were there, but that isn’t such a big deal given they watch all the top Portuguese matches. Roy Hodgson’s side don’t, so that they’re paying such close attention to Porto recently would clearly suggest there’s an idea taking shape.
Iker Casillas was Porto’s standout performer, although he’s unlikely to be a name on Palace’s recruitment list.
The Portuguese club don’t sell their best players cheaply, however, captain Hector Herrera has a contract expiring in June.
The Mexican midfielder has been linked with numerous clubs and may want to aim for another Champions League club if he leaves Porto, but that could change if the supposed interest from elsewhere doesn’t stand up.
