On October 17th, Expressen reported Crystal Palace are preparing a bid to sign Hammarby IF’s Bazoumana Touré in the winter market. It was also reported the Eagles want to make offer, to get ahead of other interested clubs.
Earlier this week, Fotboll Direkt stated the 18-year-old’s transfer to England is ‘underway’ where Crystal Palace are said to be of of the interested parties.
A fresh report from Fotboll Direkt relays earlier claims about Crystal Palace wanting to take the lead in the signing race by making an offer.
At this point in time, the Premier League side’s plan to take pole hasn’t worked out well because they haven’t tabled a proposal for the winger.
It’s claimed several clubs have come forward to express their intention to make offer for Touré. The details of these clubs aren’t mentioned and it’s not clear whether the London club are included in this.
Multiple clubs wanting to make offers for the youngster won’t please Crystal Palace, who wanted to make an effort to get ahead of others.
Hammarby want SEK 100m [€8.6m] for Touré and Oliver Glasner’s side may have to offer more than that to beat competition.
In short, Crystal Palace’s strategy to take lead has failed and offers from other clubs could make the signing complicated for them.
