The transfer of Cheick Doucouré from Lens to Crystal Palace is done, the French media says.

It’s now RMC Sport who claims that after being ‘in the pipes for several days’, the transfer is now ‘complete’ and ‘should quickly be formalised’.

It’s said Crystal Palace are initially paying €21m for the transfer, with potentially another €5m in performance bonuses.

It turns out that even though the transfer hasn’t been made official yet, RMC Sport already points out a potential destination for his future after Crystal Palace. Because according to the outlet, Doucouré remains ‘very courted’ by Paris Saint Germain.

The story claims Lens were not very keen on letting their star go, but great offers are ‘hard to refuse’, and that’s how Crystal Palace have managed to sign him.

Other reports from the French media had already claimed there was ‘total agreement’ for the transfer earlier today, and with the backing up of RMC, it looks like a matter of time until it becomes official.
