It’s been a while since Crystal Palace started being linked to Fiorentina forward Khouma Babacar. The rumours went on for a few months, and not long ago, the Italian media claimed the London side failed to land him in the January window.

And it seems this chase hasn’t gone away, at least according to what website Calcio Mercato is reporting.

They say there’s still a ‘strong interest’ from Crystal Palace to count on the 24-year-old, as the club continues to monitor him and plan to have him under Roy Hodgson’s orders.

Babacar isn’t having many chances this season, having only played sixty minutes in three different appearances, which weren’t enough to score any goals. That’s a big change of role for him since last season, when he had 14 goals in 31 appearances.

So Crystal Palace could definitely get a better chance to sign him in the near future, with January realistic, maybe for something close to that €10m asking price as mentioned before.
