This morning, we covered a report from website Passione Inter which said Crystal Palace are interested in Brazilian striker Gabriel Barbosa.

It’s been claimed that the London side have ‘set their sights’ on the player, who’s having a loan spell at Flamengo until the end of the year.

Besides Gabigol, the Eagles would also be interested in Francesco Caputo from Sassuolo, although there weren’t many details about that.

Now it seems that whoever their source was, this person has spitting it all out. Because website Calciomercato.it also has an ‘exclusive’ story about this hunt.

Regarding Gabigol, Calciomercato says he had already been followed by Crystal Palace a year ago, before he was loaned out to Flamengo.

Now there should be a ‘decisive’ meeting between Inter and the Brazilian club, and the Premier League side may have a chance due to the Nerazzurri’s will to make some money with a sale.

Regarding Caputo, Calciomercato says there are no contacts between Crystal Palace and Sassuolo for now. They claim that the idea is just to ‘keep an eye’ on the striker.

But the ‘hottest hypothesis’ is the return of Michy Batshuayi, Calciomercato says. The striker is back at Chelsea after just returning from a loan at Palace, and isn’t getting a lot of playing time at Stamford Bridge.
