In June 2016, a Crystal Palace attempt to sign Stefano Sturaro was described as ‘feeble’ in Italy, as the Juventus midfielder was linked with a string of premier League clubs.
Seemingly available for transfer, Sturaro has been linked with more than a handful of English clubs, and it often feels like just adding another name to the list.
Crystal Palace interest hasn’t changed with managers, and they’re back in for the player under Frank de Boer, claim Tuttomercatoweb.
In an exclusive on Sunday, TMW say Crystal Palace remain keen to sign the midfielder, with Serie A side Fiorentina also getting a link to the Juventus man.
There’s nothing especially concrete to back it up, and it’s a very short claim from TMW, so there’s every chance this is more about Fiorentina interest, with Crystal Palace thrown in for added drama.
Sturaro is 24 years old and is a central midfielder, he extended his Juventus contract in December 2016, and it now runs until June 2021.
