Two days ago, we carried a report from HLN which explained Jean-Philippe Mateta’s arrival has convinced Crystal Palace to say ‘goodbye’ to Christian Benteke and Michy Batshuayi in the summer.

Benteke’s contract runs down at the end of this season and it was also explained the Eagles don’t have the intention to offer him a new deal.

Votebal24 have relayed HLN’s claims about the former Aston Villa man and also provide their own information, when discussing where he can play next campaign.

It’s claimed the Belgium international’s former club Genk are showing interest in the striker.

Paul Onuachu is currently leading the Jupiler Pro League side’s attack, scoring 20 goals and registering two assists in 21 matches.

The website states Genk may find it difficult to retain the Nigerian beyond this term, which is why they want to bring in a quality replacement for Onuachu.

Therefore, they have identified Benteke as a target, given he could be available on a free transfer in the summer.

Genk have already consulted with the 30-year-old’s entourage and the Crystal Palace player ‘wouldn’t be reluctant to return’ to his old club.
