Crystal Palace and West Ham United have almost been encouraged to make a big for KAA Gent defender Jordan Torunarigha, with the Belgian side keen to sell this summer.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri covers the club today, explaining that KAA Gent are ‘planning (and wish)’ to sell several players this summer and Torunarigha is one of them on the list.

He reports that the new owners at the club have made it their first priority to secure sales from the current squad before then moving on to replacements.

They’ve already drawn up a list of players they are planning and wish to sell, with Torunarigha on there alongside Ismaël Kandouss, Hyun-Seok Hong, Andrew Hjulsager, Tarik Tissoudali and Nurio Fortuna.

That should be of interest to Crystal Palace and West Ham, who have both been credited with an interest in the player over the last few months.

A report earlier this week insisted that Crystal Palace had recently become interested in the defender, who they believed could be available in something of a bargain deal this summer.

West Ham’s interest goes back further, with several reports indicating that they were keen and eyeing up a potential deal.

Indeed, a report last month indicated that they had already inquired about him, with that followed up by a claim that he was delaying signing a new contract because of the Hammers interest.

Neither they or Palace have made moves yet but with KAA Gent now seemingly opening the bidding and making their stance clear, perhaps now is the time for that to change.
