Reportedly wanted by a lot of clubs over the years, Sébastien Corchia remained faithful to Lille, even when better offers allegedly came his way.

However, over the past week or so, pretty much since the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa was made official, more and more rumours about an exit have circulated.

Both Galatasaray and Sevilla are said to have made approaches, and now Le10 Sport decide to throw Crystal Palace into the mix.

The arrival of a new manager at clubs is always followed by an influx of stories claiming such and such player could leave, while a new host of targets appear overnight, and this could very well be what has happened here.

Corchia, a reliable right-back, only has one year left on his deal, and with him likely to want a new challenge at 26, a move to the Premier League certainly ticks that box.

With over 240 Ligue 1 appearances to his name, the defender also has some Europa League and some Champions League qualifying experience under his belt, and would be a good recruit for a lot of Premier League clubs.

Whether that is Crystal Palace remains to be seen, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for any further developments.
